Secretary General of the CINVU visited SHOMAL University

The Secretary General of the CINVU visited the University of the SHOMAL in order to cooperate with the Virtual Universities Network of the Islamic World in attracting foreign students and generating foreign exchange income for that university.

According to the public relations of the CINVU, Dr. Karim Najafi Barzegar, Secretary General of the CINVU, met with Dr. Abbas Ali Rostami, President of the North University, Dr. Nourian, Chairman of the Board of Trustees and a group of SHOMAL University deputies. In the present era, he stressed the need to strengthen inter-university relations in the international arena by using the capacity of the CINVU, and called for joint cooperation in providing skills-based training courses and participation in the movement of translating scientific and educational texts.

Dr. Najafi Barzegar also referred to the capabilities and scientific and educational facilities of SHOMAL University, in order to cooperate with the network of virtual universities in the Islamic world in attracting foreign students and generating foreign exchange income of that university.

Dr. Abbas Ali Rostami, President of SHOMAL University, also presented a report on the capacities and infrastructure of SHOMAL University in the field of e-learning, and expressed hope that cooperation with the CINVU in holding skill-based virtual training courses will begin soon.

It is worth mentioning that the CINVU is one of the networks of the Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation of the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which is hosted by the Islamic Republic of Iran. This network is an important and rich base for strengthening and developing public higher education in the virtual context of information technology, which aims to achieve justice in the field of knowledge and thought and deepen and consolidate learning and educational, research, cultural and skills empowerment of students, professors, universities and elites.

SHOMAL University, as one of the largest non-governmental universities in the country, with its excellent capacities and infrastructure of education, training, sports and tourism, is currently in 55 disciplines and majors in associate degree & bachelor's degree, It has more than 6,000 students and nearly 400 teachers.
